PS3SEN Enabler (v6.2.3 ): 4.85 Spoofing for PSN Access + 4.85 COBRA (cex) CFW Support by Evilnat
Following the recent 4.85 System Update on the PS3, developer's around the community have been making the rounds for maintenance updates and 4.85 Solutions. Luckily for the community Sony did not even attempt to patch the exploits(Hybrid Firmware) brought to us in firmware 4.84. However some apps need updates, we have seen developer @Evilnat push a useful update forSEN Enabler (homebrew app also in plugin form). This update (for cfw users) adds a new Spoofer for 4.84 cfw (& lower) , also 4.85 COBRA CFW (cex) support has been added in the v6.2.3 release. The spoofing feature allows your 4.84 Custom Firmware (not ps3hen supported) to connect to PSN, by using a little trickery to fool the PS3 server's to thinking your 4.84 console (or lower) is a 4.85 console. USE AT YOUR RISK as anything related to PSN and exploited system can have a potential risk for a PSN ban, its not a guaranteed ban but likely if your using the console in a way that an official one would not be used, some research and theories suggest that spoofers can raise the potential ban risk on PSN but like anything with PSN and your exploited PS3 nothing is for sure or known. plenty have used them with no issue and many have blamed the spoofers for the ban (no one is certain why a psn ban occurs).. This app will also disable your CFW Syscalls (a temporary disabling of CFW features until the next console boot) which has also theorized to help prevent bans on PSN, so its always a good idea to use an app that has CFW syscall disabling if you do decide to connect to PSN (SEN Enabler, PSNpatch & webMAN MOD all have the cfw disabling feature present and can be activated), but using your console the same way as an OFW one is about the best advice and practice to use for not getting a ban, Respect the network!!!!!
PS34.85 OFW Live & 4.85.1 HFW (Hybrid Firmware) Released - ADVISED TO STAY ON 4.84 for now !!!!
4.85 Official Firmware is now Live !!! Here is what you need to knowWell it took awhile from Sony, but its confirmed they finally got around to pushing a new firmware update with the release of version 4.85 for the PS3. It appears (developers are still investigating) Sony has essentially given up that classic 'Cat & Mouse' game with the PS3 Homebrew Scene. While it was apparent during the past two exploits, as they went nearly a year (with each exploit) without seeing a patch for a softmod, that has kind of shown Sony's hand with its dealing and future intentions with the PS3. Somewhat surprising (since PSN is still active) but it makes sense, with the PlayStation 5 on the doorstep. While the PS3 is being phased out in many ways, the Security Team has been a dead sector over at Sony PS3 HQ for sometime, but then again they may not of been the best team for the task, as we all know what happened back on firmware 3.55 and the 'oh shit' moment that team went through with the bad security implementation that was discovered and thus lead to PS3 CFW for all of us, so maybe that team was not so bad .
PS VITA / PS TVh-encore² released by TheFloW - Surprise Release for System Firmwares 3.65 until 3.71!
It is a little bit quiet in these summer days, don't you think? Most people were enjoying their holidays by all the sunshine. Luckily famous PlayStation Vita-Developer TheFloW was busy these days and brings you a suprising Release with an updated Version of h-encore - namely h-encore². Yes, his last release already had a similar name but nevertheless, the main headline for this release is that with this updated Version, you are now again allowed to install you favourite Homebrew, Plugins or you can even Downgrade your PlayStation Vita to a lower System Firmware(the latter is not supported at the time of writing this article, so please DON'T Downgrade at the moment) and all that from the newest Original System Firmware (OFW) released by Sony (by the time of writing this article). This is huge news, especially for users, who were on a higher System Firmware, which was unsupported to do all those things and the coolest thing is, this Exploit works as simple as the previous Version did. So without any further ado, here are each Steps needed to get this exploit running on your PlayStation Vita. Happy Cracking.

Earlier this year (back in April) we detailed some of the progress that the busy dev RenéRebe has made with unlocking the potential of the PlayStation 3's RSX chip and now today we have been greeted with a new video and what we can expect with this project as the developer starts to undertake the challenge of further unlocking one more component of the Ps3 hardware,. PS3Advanced Power Options (v1.10) Released: A XMB MOD for all CFW & HEN
A handy XMB (main menu) modification for the PlayStation 3 that is now compatible with either CFW (Custom FirmWare) or HEN(Homebrew ENabler) has been updated to v1.10 with a new name as well. This project has seen contributions from various developer's that include @DeViL303, @kozarovv, @mysis@Joonieand @lmn7and collectively have created Advance Power Options (v1.10). This sleek mod allows for additional Power Options to be displayed and executed with ease from the comfort of the XMB. The new inclusions for your XMB will include a fast Shut Down (no conformation is asked), A Soft Reboot (a faster reboot, doesn't completely shutdown system) or a Hard Reboot (which shuts down slower, as it's a complete system restart). Plus, the mod provides a few additionalAdvanced Options and these include the ability to Reboot in Recovery Mode(which can be a handy feature, as the official method from Sony involves a process of holding the power button down on your console for awhile), If you desire even faster access to a few functions within the Recovery Mode the devs have you covered here as well as there is options to Rebuild Database or Check the File-System on reboot by selection those included options on the XMB as well. For HEN user's that about sums up things, but CFW user's you have one more additional function which is optional but Also included is an optional pkg to Boot into OtherOS. Overall, this is a great collection of work and a superb modification for your PS3's XMB to add new functionality. View a preview of this mod before installing it, by checking out the developer's YouTube video included below (video coverage is of v1.04) to get an idea of what this mod is all about for CFW and now HEN user's also.

PS4PCSX-R (PS4 Port) - PlayStation (PS1 on PS4) Emulator by Znullptr
This news is a bit late but wanted to get everyone caught up on this project for the PlayStation 4 as DeveloperZnullptr (David Miller) has recently developed a new emulator port for exploited PS4 console (currently 5.05 being the latest exploitable firmware in public) called PCSX-R which as you may of guessed is a PlayStation 1 emulator. The developer has said he ceased emulation development (source code release is planned) on the PS4 but we have seen a few tweets (1, 2) that could suggest he is still working on a few things (like a mednafen port that maybe is a better options for PS1 gameplay(?) ) but that remains to be seen. This PS1 emulator port seems to be working good enough to play many titles (some issue's are outlined below in the notes by markus95). PS4 gameplay footage can viewed in the videos provided below. So far we have seen this emulation developer soft release several PoC emulators for the PS4 that have includedYabause (A Sega Saturn Emulator w/ speed issue's) / Reicast (DreamCast w/ speed issue's) & ,mGBA (GameBoy Advance). Since this is an early concept and build you have to manually swap your roms for a game you want to play, details about the process can be seen below courtesy of @Markus95 .
Emulating Home Console Game Titles has many Advantages when they work properly. Optimizing the Output Resolution is one thing. But many Game Titles - especially for the PS3 - where designed to run with 30 Frames-per-Second (FPS) only on Original Hardware. Some Games have even a 'cap' which doesn't allow the Game to exceed that Frame Limit even if it could or other Games can't even get to the 30 FPS mark due to bad Gaming Design or tremendous of Game Files, which needs to be loaded in the Background and the Console can't even achieve that due to slow Hardware. Best Example, if you ever played the 'Bayonetta Series' on your PS3 (I really hope you didn't ), then you will know what I mean. But luckily, with the help of the famous PS3 Emulator RPCS3 and it's newest Updates and Recent Changes, this problematic could be lead into a thing to the past for several Game Titles. This will lead many Classic Titles like the 'Uncharted Series', 'The Last of Us' or 'Red Dead Redemption' into a even better Gameplay as you enjoyed them on your original PS3, where those mentioned Game Titles already showed impressive results, as you can check in the video down below.. And the cool thing is, everyone is welcome to contribute their test results here. So you know which Homework I will give you know today, right?
That can't be an accident. Following up after the impressive Progress Report last Month, where we learned that over >40% of all PS3 Game Titles are now fully 'Playable', today the great Team behind the PS3 Emulator RPCS3 showcases their newest Progress Report for May 2019 with another milestone. If you are a long follower of their great Project or maybe you are even enjoying your PS3 Game Titles on your PC right now (because 'why not'?), you will be already familiar with the fact that most of the Game Titles tested on RPCS3 will at least boot up, but then you will experience Graphical Glitches, huge Slow-Downs or even you aren't able to play a Game Title to the End, which is sad (Damn you 'Narco Terror' and 'The Expendables 2: Videogame' why you still aren't bootable? :P). This is why in the past, the 'Ingame' Status comprised most Game Titles in every Compatibility List. But for the first Time since it's Initial Release, the 'Playable' Category ties the first place together with the 'Ingame' Category with both 1337 Game Titles each. This means whatever Game Title you choose to play via RPCS3, there is a 43.71% Chance that it will be at least 'Ingame'. That's impressive don't you think? Oh, and sorry for the leetspeak at the Title. I mean come on, we are talking about 1337 Game Titles fully 'Playable'.

See below for additional Details!See also: The Great PS3 HEN All in One (AIO) Guide

PS3RPCS3 (PS3 Emulator) - April 2019 Progress Report - >40% of all Games are now fully playable!
No, this isn't a late April Fools Message. As usual for every month (but a little bit delayed, I know ), the Great Team behind RPCS3 showcases their newest improvements and milestones in their newest Monthly Progress Reports. And speaking of milestones, April has another one as well. Now when you will Download their newest Build, you are able to emulate more than >40% of all PS3 Games without any errors etc. which leads into an 'fully playable' status and means that you can enjoy those Game Titles as minimum as with the same good experience compared with an PS3 or even better (like with 4K Output Resolution, for instance). That's already pretty strong, don't you think? Editor's Note: Maybe you have already experienced it before but the News Writers would like to remember you that since the beginning of 2019, we don't only introduce you with the newest Monthly Progress Report for RPCS3, but also some In-Game-Screenshot from various Game Titles provided by the Team from RPCS3, which saw a better compatibility or getting 'Ingame' for the very first time. We hope you like that idea and we also recommend you to watch for Updates on every Progress Report, since many of those mentioned Screenshots will be showcased a few days later after the initial Progress Report.
